Hurricane Katrina Memorial: The Hurricane Katrina hit the city in 2006 leaving a trail of destruction and a a great number of lives were lost. The memorial pays tribute to the people who perished during the infamous storm. It is 12-feet tall, the approximate height of the storm and its design features a mosaic tile depicting a wave and a marble wall where the names of people who died are inscribed on. There is also a glass case that contains items collected from destroyed buildings. The experience here can be emotionally challenging, as there are many names with the same surnames, indicating entire families who died together.

Deer Island: It is an island located off the coast of Biloxi and was once part of the mainland. It is however not one of the barrier islands and although it is not fully developed, the views and the cool breezes are worth the trip.

Aboard the Sailfish: This is a unique and interesting cruise that will take visitors through a journey to know everything about shrimp fishing. Upon leaving the harbor, visitors will learn about what makes the shrimp net spread out and operate efficiently.
