Harbin is the capital of Heilongjiang, and located in the northernmost province of China. The Harbin Metro area alone contains roughly 6,700,500 people within 3940 square miles of land – this makes Harbin the most populous city in Heilongjiang. Heilongjiang Broadcast and TV Tower: Definitely a gem of the city, this tower is the second highest in the world and the absolute highest in Asia. Also known as the Dragon Tower, the view from atop this building is the finest in the city, especially at night.

Siberian Tiger Park: Located near Sun Island, a tour of this space can be completed in roughly one hour but many of the viewing areas are only accessible by car. It is, however, a fascinating glimpse into the world of fully grown tigers and their cubs. These are purebred Siberian tigers, an endangered species, 500 of which have been reared by the Siberian Tiger Park.

Church of St. Sophia: More Russian architectural influence is evident here; This is a perfect example of one of the few remaining Russian buildings of Harbin. Although the interior is not fully restored, its majesty is evident, both inside and out. With old photographs of Harbin and other historical exhibits, the inside is now dedicated to a museum. At night, the outdoor lighting creates a breathtaking sight appreciated by not only visitors but by the locals as well. The cathedral is frequently used as a backdrop for concert events.

Erlongshan Ski Resort: Also known as the Dragon Pearl Ski Resort, this popular attraction site is well-known for its family-friendly ski tour offerings, snowboarding, tobogganing, and more.
