Popular Destinations in Macau
Looking for activities once your private jet arrives in Macau? Nicknamed the “Las Vegas of Asia,” Macau leaves little to doubt for the traveling adventurer. Here are the most popular attractions in Macau:
Camoes Garden and Grotto: Not only one of the oldest parks in Macau, it is also the largest. In 1835, Camoes Grotto was the home of Portuguese poet Luis de Camoes. These days, locals enjoy playing chess, flying pet birds, and doing morning exercises in this area.
Venetian Macau: Since casinos are such a huge part of the economy, the Venetian Macau is one of the most exciting entertainment destinations in Asia. It’s also one of the world’s largest casinos. Luxurious, Italian marble floored bathrooms are just one amenity in the lavish hotel associated with this casino. The 3,0000 rooms, which have 70 m² of space, are all suites. The resort also offers a Venetian gondola ride, street performers, and 350 international shops. For those looking to do a little gambling, Macau greyhound racing at the Canidrome is another exciting venue to explore.
City of Dreams: Shopping for designer brands, dining with international and regional cuisines, and enjoying electrifying entertainment make up the bulk of activities at this uniquely integrated resort. Macau’s City of Dreams offers two particular points of interest – The Boulevard, with shopping boutiques, restaurants, and entertainment; and an amazing multimedia attraction known as The Bubble.
Guia Fortress: Prior to its public opening in 1976, access to this fortress was restricted by the military. On a clear night, the 91m tall lighthouse emits a glow that is visible from 20 miles away. Though currently used as an observation point for tourists, the design of this fortress was initially intended to prevent attacks from the sea.
Wine and Grand Prix Museum: Portuguese culture at is finest is reflected here. There is plenty of opportunity for celebration: wine tasting, social excursions, and cultural experiences decorate the scene. For just a small price, visitors  can engage in wine tastings and more. The Wine and Grand Prix Museum was constructed in 1933. It was initially meant to act as a tribute to Macau’s Grand Prix racing and honor 40 years in existence at the time.
Macau Fisherman’s Wharf: Exhibition and convention facilities, accommodations, entertainment, shopping, dining, and a theme park all combine at this outer harbor location. Macau’s tourism trade would not be complete without this attraction. Macau Fisherman’s Wharf impressively spans 111,500 m².
