Located less than 50 miles away from Macau, the airport consists of 173 aircraft parking bays, a main terminal building and three concrete runways designated in the 01/19, 02L/20R and 02R/20L directions.
• Bao’an International Airport (SZX): Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport is located within a 50 mile radius to Macau and 20 miles northwest of the city center. The airport’s latest terminal is three times the size of former Terminals A and B, and has an area of more than 4.8 million square feet. The airport caters to both domestic and international flights and has the capacity to handle more than 39 million passengers annually. Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport also has two concrete runways designated in the 15/33 and 16/34 directions.
• Shek Kong Airport (VHSK): Shek Kong Airport is located no more than 50 miles away from Macau. Shek Kong is a Hong Kong based dual-use civil and military airport. The airport is open during the weekends for civilian use. The public is allowed to use the airport for their general aviation needs. The airport also consists of a single paved runway that is designated in the 11/29 direction.
• Hong Kong International Airport (HKG): Opened in 1998, Hong Kong International Airport is home to one of the world’s largest passenger terminal buildings. Located less than 50 miles away from Macau, the airport is operated by the Airport Authority of Hong Kong and is open 24 hours daily. Its passenger terminal building has the capacity to handle more than 68 million passengers annually. The airport also has two asphalt runways in the 07R/25L and 07L/25R directions.
• Macau International Airport (MFM): Macau International Airport consists of four jetways, 24 parking spaces for aircraft, 10 gates and a single concrete runway in the 16/34 direction. It passenger terminal building is designed to handle up to six million passengers annually. The airport’s runway is equipped with an ILS CAT II system and has navigational and radio aids at either end of the runway. The airport is well-equipped to handle any private jet charter flight as it used by Antonov 124s and Boeing 747s to land and takeoff.
• Zhuhai Airport (ZUH): Opened in June 1995, Zhuhai Jinwan Airport is located 31 miles (by road) southwest of the Zhuhai’s city center and less than 50 miles away from Macau. The airport is open for both public and military aviation activities, and consists of a single concrete runway designated in the 05/23 direction.
