It is always fun to take a look at celebrity lifestyles to see how they live their lives off the camera. Some of the biggest stars happen to own private jets to help them travel around the world while working on movie sets, conducting television interviews, and promoting their latest films or causes.
John Travolta
Travolta may very well be Hollywood royalty when it comes to flying the friendly skies. According to Forbes, he owns 11 jets – a Boeing 707, Boeing 727, and DC3 are among them. In addition to multiple jet ownership, Travolta is a licensed pilot and he enjoys status as an “Ambassador-at-Large” for Qantas Airlines.
Oprah Winfrey
Oprah Winfrey may be the queen of talk, but she flies in style on her Bombardier Global Express XRS – a craft capable of seating up to fourteen people in luxurious comfort. This particular private jet is known for its large cabin and its long-range flight capabilities. Other famous faces that own this particular jet, reported in Daily Mail, include Steven Spielberg and Celine Dion.
Jackie Chan
Known for high flying adventures and performing his own, sometimes, death-defying stunts, Jackie Chan is also becoming closely associated with the private jet brand Embraer, as a Brand Ambassador to China for the company. Embraer delivered a shiny new Legacy 650, the very first of the line, to Chan who expressed excitement about the large cabin, luxurious interior, and quiet performance in a 2012 press release.
Jimmy Buffet
According to Forbes Jimmy Buffett takes his trips to paradise in style aboard his Dassault Falcon 900. Buffett also has a pilot’s license and owns several other airplanes, including a Cessna 208 Caravan, Grumman Albatross, Grumman Goose, and a Boeing E-75 Stearman.
Tom Cruise
Forbes reports that Tom Cruise has had his pilot’s license since 1994 and that he often pilots his Gulfstream IV though there is plenty of room for him to enjoy his guests and let someone else do the flying with room for up to 19 passengers and two pilots, according to Daily Mail. He also owns a P-51 Mustang.
Harrison Ford
It comes as no big surprise that Harrison Ford feels comfortable in the pilot’s seat. Not only is he a pilot, but he also owns several private jets himself. In fact, he made news in early 2015 when he crashed one of his planes, a 1942 Ryan Aeronautical ST3KR. Ranker reports that he owns several other aircraft including a Cessna 208B Grand Caravan, a Cessna 182, a DHC-2 Beaver, a Beechcraft B36TC, and a Bell 407 helicopter.
Donald Trump
Donald Trump rides high in this luxurious and spacious private Boeing 757. Daily Mail reports that Mr. Trump uses the aircraft for business and that it also offers plenty of private space, including a double bed and marble bathroom. Business Insider reveals that the plane seats up to 23 and offers luxurious appointments that include crystal lamps, oil paintings, and gold seatbelt buckles.
Tiger Woods
Tiger Woods is best known for big hits on the golf course, but he’s scored another big hit with his Gulfstream G550. This particular private craft is capable of carrying up to 18 passengers and can flying for more than 12 hours before needing to refuel.
